February 2014 News | News & Info

Scottsdale 2014 was another great year for SWF and our clients. The weather was beautiful most of the time and the horses even more so! With the incredibly warm weather no wonder the Scottsdale Arabian Horse show is the largest Arabian horse show in the world.

Congratulations to our friends Quintessa Farm Arabians and their beautiful fillies Lovellawteyn QF (owned and shown by Stonewall Farm) and Jumanna QF. Lovellawteyn was Top Ten in the Scottsdale Signature Yearling Filly and Jumanna QF was named CHAMPION Scottsdale Signature Yearling Filly (first place on four of the five judges cards).

This year's Scottsdale Yearling colt class was very exciting for us and we congratulate our clients Al Jood Stud. The unanimous Champion colt was bred here at SWF. His new name (hate name changes) is Conquest BR and we could not be more proud. This is the second year in a row that SWF has had a yearling colt in the Championship, last year Marsai Mara SWF was Champion Jr Yearling Colt and then on Sunday's Championships was named Reserve Champion Jr Colt.

David's brother Jimmy came out of retirement to show at Scottsdale this year for our friends at Royal Arabians.... Yayyyyy Go Jimmy!

We had a fantastic Open House and as always really enjoy having new people visit the farm. We are very proud that Mr Bassam of Al Saqran Stud of Kuwait has chosen Focus Vejora for his incredible stallion Baahir El Marwan. Thank you Mr Bassam for the purchase of two embryo's from our beautiful Vejora.

We are very excited to welcome our friends Ram & Joanne Gunabalan into a partnership on one of the most exciting young colts, Khalif SWF. Sired by WH Justice and out of the extremely beautiful Focus Vejora. Khalif SWF has been blessed with all of the qualities his sire and dam have to offer and we look forward to many great things to come for this young colt!

Congratulations to Abdulrahman Al-Shareef of Saudi Arabia on the purchase of the very pretty daughter of Marque, Mariska Mashara.

Congratulations to our friends Cindy McPike, Cameron Nelson and Kelly & Casey Campbell on the purchase of an embryo out of our exquisite mare Jumeriah Rose SWF...... This is going to be an amazing foal.... praying for a filly! ;-)

Foaling season is underway with our first filly of the year, Natalia Bey gave us a gorgeous grey filly sired by Marque. We have chosen the name Wilhelmina Bey SWF, she is the full-sister to Marissa Bey SWF owned by Quintessa Farm Arabians. Marissa Bey is proving herself to be an very valuable mare in the breeding program at Quintessa.

Ivory LaVita E Bella gave us a wonderful grey filly sired by our stallion Rohara Extrem Justice. Her name is Ivanka E Bella SWF, we are so pleased with the cross of WH Justice x Versace!

Looking forward to the Arabian Breeders World Cup show in Vegas, hope to see you there,

David & Scott
